Welcome to Cubbies!
The Awana club for preschoolers (Cubbies) is built on two premises:
• Young children can and should receive spiritual training.
• Home is the primary place for spiritual training.
The Cubbies program at ABT meets these needs through…
Fun – and lots of it!
Cubbies is fun with a purpose – to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Fun and learning go hand-in-hand as games, puppets, crafts, awards, and other activities provide for a lively midweek experience.
Friendly characters and leaders:
Cubbie Bear, Luv E. Lamb, Ern. E. Elephant, Zip E. Zebra and Gigi Giraffe take our preschoolers on a thrilling journey through God's Word. Caring, committed volunteer leaders serve as Christian role models and teachers as they nurture our children spiritually.
Foundational teaching:
The Bible, God’s Holy Word, is the center of all the handbooks and club activities. Our children begin to build a solid understanding of the basics of Christianity at an early age.
Family involvement:
Cubbies is unique because it supports the Biblical principle that parents are to be the primary source of spiritual nurturing. By working directly with their child on the weekly handbook lessons, parents become active participants in their child's spiritual development. Foundational habits of reading and studying God’s Word together are established in families. Along the way, unsaved parents with kids in the program are introduced to God and His plan of salvation.
ABT Cubbies Club meets each Wednesday from 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. during the club year. You may drop off your clubbers starting at 7:00 p.m.
Corrie Smith directs our 3-year-old Cubbie program in room 105 and Shyla Wells directs the 4-year-olds in room 106. Please check your children in at the Secretary’s table which will be in the hallway between rooms each night.
