Welcome to Trek!

We will be offering the new Trek program for our Junior High students. This program is required for entry to the Journey 24/7 High School program and Citation award.

Trek is the new middle-school program from 24-7 Ministries, the youth ministry arm of Awana®. Trek takes the best of our 25 years of middle-school ministry experience—and makes it even better!

To state the obvious, seventh and eighth graders have wide-ranging spiritual, emotional, social, and physical needs.

Trek meets the needs of Junior Higher’s at three different levels.

  • Level One: Come See - targets unsaved youth.
  • Level Two: Come Follow - helps young or nominal believers grow in their faith.
  • Level Three: Come Serve - trains committed teenagers for leadership, ministry service, and a deeper walk with God.

Trek meetings take that same three-tiered approach by offering something for everyone.

  • Games and activities attract unsaved youth to church and then help them to feel at home.
  • Large group time communicates a single Bible truth that spiritually lost kids can grasp.
  • Small groups are targeted at reaching into the lives of young people according to their spiritual needs.

Jr. High students participating in Trek will be meeting in room 121 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for handbook and discussion time. (Leaders will sign off handbook sections during that time.) A Trek Handbook should be purchased during registration.
